Years 1-6 operate on a day-schooling basis, at a campus situated on Wudingxi Road in Changning district, central Shanghai, an area of protected architectural heritage.
Teaching facilities: The school includes a library, IT lab, and science labs.
Arts facilities: Students can use dedicated art rooms, music practice rooms, and an auditorium to further their artistic interests.
Shared interactive spaces: Small shared spaces situated in between classrooms, in the manner of "piazza" or small courtyards, are used when students need to break out of the classroom lesson structure for more interactive activities. This builds friendship and nurtures a communal "village" feel to the school.
Sport: "A healthy mind and a healthy body" is an important part of the YK Pao School culture. With this in mind, we have constructed a heated indoor swimming pool specially to meet the needs of the students, with the aim of every student learning to swim.
A green school: The school campus includes environmentally responsible features including a green roof and sustainable building materials.
