Among this year’s Pao School graduates, eight students had chosen to take the IB Visual Arts course. They had pursued and deepened their artistic interests at the school, developing their abilities through continual innovation, practice, and reflection. The richness of acrylics, the translucence of watercolours, the reinvention of found materials, the warmth of textiles, the depth of oils, each medium became a distinct language for engaging with the world. The dedication to art that they have all demonstrated both reflects upon Pao School’s founding commitment to honouring individuality, nurturing potential, and fostering wholistic education, it also provides a lasting inner resource that will support them as they step into a broader world.
