On the official opening day of YK Pao School’s 2015 Summer Camps, there’s something happening everywhere on campus! Walk through the corridors at Pao School’s Primary Division and you’ll find students happily engaging in various activities, quietly reading in classrooms, or playing in small groups!

From June 29 to July 24, 2015, Pao School’s Primary Division will be home to our Junior Chinese Camp and Activities Camp. Over 100 campers aged 5-11 will be attending classes, each given a special name. Our Junior Chinese Camp has been divided into five classes: Love, Integrity, Balance and Responsibility, while our Activities Camp has been divided into classes named after various cartoon characters. During orientations, teachers impressed campers with demonstrations of the Hulusi, a traditional Chinese music instrument, and Chinese Kung Fu. Our students eagerly anticipate our programs which are rich in Chinese content and incorporate drama performances and excursions, allowing them to fully appreciate the charm of Chinese language and culture.

Armed with the mission to develop our children’s full potential, give them a foundation in Chinese language and culture, and help them become global citizens, our Activities Camp has combined academics, studying, and practical hands-on work into a single program. Our students, led by Junior Counselors from our Secondary Division, enjoy a variety of sports activities and games. Whether in the pool or in the classroom where students and teachers engage in scientific experiments, Lego building, painting in a bilingual learning environment, everyone at Pao School is enjoying a wonderful summer!
