Frankenstein has come to Songjiang along with a lot of his other spooky friends. Indeed, Halloween is in the air at YK Pao School Secondary Division!
All week, the community has been getting excited for our big celebration. Yesterday, students were invited to wear costumes for the entire school day. Academic classes ran as usual but instead of handsome young secondary students with green ties sitting at desks, we had monsters,princesses, ghouls, and lots of other creative Halloween characters!
After dinner, the party truly kicked off. Instead of study hall, the whole campus was transformed into a series festive Halloween Xue Yuan fetes. Each of our eight Xue Yuan courtyard teams took one location on campus and organized fun activities for the rest of the students to enjoy. There were haunted houses, and a treasure hunt and even a maze through the student center.Snacks and trick-or-treat candy was on hand as well. At the end of the evening,students voted for which of the eight xue yuan organized the most exciting Halloween location.
A huge thank you is owed to all of the Xue Yuan student captains who took the lead in planning and executing this terrific event. Also,a big thank you goes to the Student Life Office team who provided much additional support.
The YK Pao School Secondary Division Library is pleased toannounce the winners from our Horror Book Genre Contest! Students were asked to submit a paragraph about their favourite Horror Book in English or Chinese. Congratulations to all winners!
